What should I bring to my alterations appointment?
To make the most of each fitting and to ensure accuracy, please bring these items with you to every fitting:
Your wedding shoes. Please bring the shoe that you will be wearing to your event, as we cannot be responsible for changes in heel height.
Shapewear, crinoline, or bra. We are happy to provide standard-sized bra cups to sew into your gown. We can also sew in your own bra if you prefer. If you will be wearing a crinoline or other shapewear, please bring these as well.
Calendar and form of payment. The average bride has 3 fittings. At the end of each fitting, you will be asked to schedule your next appointment, so keep your calendar handy. Please note that payment is due at the first fitting. Our alterations prices are subject to change, so please contact us for current pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions

No! Many brides elect not to wear shapewear. The majority of our gowns are crafted with built-in bustiers.
How long are fittings?
Fittings are scheduled to last 30 minutes.
How many fittings will I need?
Our average bride requires 3 fittings. This can vary depending on the complexity of your gown and the work being done. For tailoring and custom changes, more fittings may be required because of the sheer amount of work being done.

Payment is required at the time of your pinning or first fitting.
Will my dress leave the premises?
Rest assured that your gown will not leave the premises during your alterations. We maintain a climate-controlled environment to protect all merchandise, including your dress.
Alterations, Tailoring and Custom Changes.
Knowing and understanding the difference between these and how they affects the final cost.
Alterations: These are minimal changes done to a dress to make it fit. Normally, alterations include side seams, hem, bust inserts (optional) and a bustle (or no bustle depending on the bride's budget). Alterations enable a gown to achieve a good fit to the bride's body at minimal cost.
Tailoring: Tailoring options are much more complex and involve many more hours. These options usually require alot of delicate handwork. Tailoring options include darts, back and front princess darts, booty darts, sleeve tapering, moving of lace appliques, among other things. These options make for the "tailored look" that brides want for their wedding day.
Custom Changes: Sometimes a bride wants ta lower the back of her gown, or wants to change the neckline of her gown. Perhaps she wants to add sleeves. These are custom changes which require the skills of the highest caliber seamstress. This also raises the cost for the alteration as this goes beyond both alterations and tailoring into the realm of customization which now requires the possibility of making a pattern and requiring additional fittings.
Your gown is special, and having it fitted to you is an exciting process! Enjoy this once-in-a lifetime experience!
